The route you drive is the one you worked out in your head three seasons ago, and it is mostly right. Mostly. The new customer on the far side of town is bolted onto the end of a Tuesday, the 8:00 AM commercial account anchors the morning, and nobody has re-checked the middle since April.
What it does
Pick a crew and a day on the web dashboard and Okason orders that day’s stops by real road drive time between the properties, not by straight-line distance. A day ordered by map distance sends a crew back across a river; a day ordered by drive time does not.
Two rules make the result usable rather than merely optimal:
- A fixed start time is honored. Mark the commercial account you promised for 8:00 AM and it holds that position while everything else arranges itself around it. The mark carries onto every repeat of a recurring job.
- Your hands beat the algorithm. Drag any stop and that order stays until someone presses Optimize again. Nothing quietly re-sorts behind you.
The limits, up front
- Planning is on the web. The phone app does not plan routes.
- Crews don’t see the order in their app in this release. You pass it to your crew lead.
- Crew and Crew Pro only. Solo has a single seat and no crew-day to order.
- Thirty stops per crew-day. Past that the optimizer stops rather than silently dropping stops.
Where it sits in the week
Route optimization is the step between job scheduling and the crew’s morning. The week gets built on the calendar, the day gets ordered here, and the crew works their assigned jobs in the order their lead gives them.

When a day rains out, Reschedule Day moves that day’s scheduled and in-progress jobs together to a new date and can notify each moved customer — so a re-ordered Tuesday and a rained-out Tuesday are two different tools for two different problems.
